Greg Keller (dir.) desired a Victorian flavor of horror, with key performances styled as a variety show by Vaudeville performers with a contemporary flair, yet with every character feeling “stuck in Hell” of the cycle of repeatedly reliving their part.

We (the design team) particularly emphasized the cycle of Hell in the retelling of the story of Elizabeth Cree night after night, including a pre-show where actors “cleaned up” from the prior performance to set the stage for the performance to come.
